What Is The Best Cabernet Wine

Don't Miss

Force Majeure 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley Estate

The Best Red Wines for Beginners (Series): #4 Cabernet Franc

Lots of blue fruits, cassis, violets, lead pencil and tobacco notes emerge from the glass of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley Estate, a magical, incredible Cabernet Sauvignon from The Rocks region of Walla Walla, as well as a perfect wine. Its deep purple/ruby-colored, full-bodied, deep and opulent on the palate, with terrific elegance as well as a rich, complex earthiness that develops with time in the glass. However, its not a classic Rocks wine, and the exotic funkiness is largely concealed behind classic Cabernet typicity. It reminds me of the 2009 Château Haut-Bailly with its rare mix of richness and power, and while it was brought up in almost all new French oak, you wouldnt know it by tasting it. Everything is perfectly balanced it has silky tannins, a great mid-palate and one heck of an impressive finish. Its a candidate for the wine of the vintage and should be snatched up by readers. Dont miss it. Jeb Dunnuck

What Is Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most recognized and highly-acclaimed red wine grape varietals in the world. The grape is grown in nearly all of the top wine producing regions and countries. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietal is usually full-bodied, acidic, and is high in tannins and because of this the Cabernet is able to age very well, lasting over 30 years or more for the highest quality of Cabernets.

This wine is a beautiful and enchanting combination of flavors. It features dark fruits, cherry, and fig with hints of black truffles, earth, tobacco, and a surprise of mocha-infused oak spices.

This explosive vintage is medium to full-bodied and has delicate tannins which create an elegant finish. At the same time, its silky fruit slowly slides off your palate in one delightful burst after another.

Producing The Best Flavors For Cabernet Wine

Oak plays a major role in developing intense rich flavors on the palette. Our oak barrels are sourced from all over the world. Myself and our team have developed an aging process of the staves, which differs from other producers.

The oak staves are air dried for much longer before the barrels are put together and toasted. The production facility follows a unique toasting protocol that helps soften the tannins in the wood residing richer oak flavors that are well balanced.

The Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon lives in new French oak barrels to intensify the already rich, ripe fruit flavors and aromas of the wine. Quality oak barrels add up in cost, as do the vineyard selections and farming methods practiced in the end its money well spent.
