Wine Producing Districts Of Champagne
Champagne is a single appellation d’origine contrôlée but the territory is divided into next sub-regions, which are known as wine-producing districts and each of them has distinct characteristics. The main wine-producing districts of the Champagne wine region: Reims, Marne Valley, Côte des Blancs, Côtes des Bar, Côtes de Sezzane.

There are at least 14 sizes of champagne bottle. In fact, Champagne is the only French AOC that has as many different wine bottle sizes.
If you include the piccolo, which is just 18.75 litres, that makes 15 bottle sizes in all. Piccolo means small in Italian and it contains the equivalent of one tulip Champagne glass.
Popular in Australia, the piccolo champagne bottle is not available in all countries. The Comité Champagne trade association in France does not include it in their list of Champagne bottle types.

The Champenois argue that a magnum is the perfect size bottle for Champagne. Apparently, it ages better than any other format, although you will require plenty of willing friends to share it with. Winston Churchill is credited with the quip that a magnum is the perfect size for two gentlemen to enjoy over lunch provided one isnt drinking.
However, with Valentines Day coming up, this might be a time to do things by half. A half-bottle of sparkling wine is the ideal way for two people to begin romantic proceedings. Each gets a decent glass of fizz plus a small refill, before moving on to a still red or white. Although Champagne goes very well with food, an entire bottle of sparkling wine can be too much for two people, even if consumed over a meal. This is a nice unit of good quality and good features. The only feedback I have is the LED blue lights look cool but are a bit dark since the inside of the unit is black as well.
