Stella Rosa Black comes from Stella Rosa Wines, with grapes from the Piedmont region of Northern Italy.
Billed as a low-alcohol grape wine specialty with natural flavors, this semi-sparkling wine comes with a twist-top and a calorie label on the back.
And if youre interested in knowing, a 5oz. pour contains 110 calories!
Its ingredients included: wine, water, grape must, and natural flavors, among other things like grape skin extract for color.
Also noticeable, the ingredients say no added juice.
I took this to mean that the natural flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry in this wine, dont come from adding in those juices.
The back label does say combined with natural flavors of those fruits, so they must introduce them to the winemaking process somehow.

This wine is from one of the oldest estates in the heart of the Nantes vineyard region. Planted on clay and sandy soils over granite and schist bedrock, the vines here transport a minerality and a touch of richness to the liquid. On the nose, youll find citrus and apple fruit, along with notes of lime blossom and mint. A delicious light white.
Weve chosen this wine due to the grape used in its production. Grapes such as Muscadet, Pinot Grigio, Albariño, Torrontes and Piquepoul produce dry and light white wines. These wines will have fewer calories than the likes of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. Be sure to always check the ABV you can often find higher ABV wines made using Albariño, Torrontes or Muscadet.

Heres another ultra-sweet offering from Stella Rosa , tipping the scales at a whopping 5% abv. As the name implies, honey and peaches are the operating flavors in the mix here, though its the peach essence that makes the broadest impact making it come across as not terribly different from the standard Stella Rosa Peach flavor. Sure enough, the wine is flavored not with honey but with standard sugar, making for a rather one-note finish, though the extreme level of carbonation does at least cut through some of the cloying character.
Stella Rosa Platinum French Vanilla
French vanilla isnt just for coffee. Stella Rosa Platinum French Vanilla uses vanilla mixed with green apple and elderflower to recreate the french vanilla flavor.
You can drink this semi-sweet white wine with cheddar, shrimp fajitas, and cinnamon coffee cake. If you want to get creative with this already innovative wine, try mixing some Irish cream liqueur to add a splash of rich coffee flavor.
