What Is The Epcot Food And Wine Festival
If youve never been to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival in Disney World, then you are in for a big treat, or should I say, lots of treats! You may have noticed there is some kind of Food and Wine festival going on in Epcot almost all year round, and this is the one where it all started.
This year is the 27th annual EPCOT Food and Wine Festival which is a celebration to food and drink that happens every year. It allows guests to taste all sorts of different flavors from many countries in the world. There are food marketplaces set up all throughout World Showcase and Future World, each with a different theme and representing a different regions cuisine.

Remys Ratatouille Hide and Squeak is an engaging activity the whole family can enjoy, Testa told TravelAwaits. We definitely recommend this scavenger hunt, which takes you around the World Showcase in search of Remy, the tiny rat chef. Hollywood Backlot Seminars Free For Families
Along with your paid park admission you can attend various presentations on select days during Food & Wine Festival. They last about 20-30 minutes and feature different guest presenters on a variety of topics from gardening to cooking and more. Topics and times will be posted daily outside the venue in Hollywood Land.
Spicy Githeri At Refreshment Outpost
The Spicy Githeri with White Beans, Pigeon Peas, Bens Original Quinoa & Ancient Grains Medley, and Kachumbari Slaw at Refreshment Outpost might not be the prettiest dish at the festival, but it was HANDS DOWN the most flavorful!

Where Is The Disney Food And Wine Festival 2020
Disney California Adventure Park is home to the food and wine festival at Disneyland Resort in California. Be sure you have a park hopper ticket if you want to visit Disneyland and California Adventure Park on the same day.
There is another Disney Food and Wine Festival at WaltDisney World in Epcot. That festival takes place typically in the late summerto fall. 2020 dates have not yet been announced.

If you do bring the family to the Disney Food and Wine Festival, dont miss the Jr. Chef Events. They are held several times a day in the Hollywood Backlot. Kids have the chance to help Disney Cast Members and Chef Goofy make a special batch of oatmeal raisin cookies

How The Epcot Food And Wine Festival Works
Each marketplace at Food and Wine has a different menu and is focused on small plates, not big meals. That way you can go from one booth to the next and try many different things without filling up. Its best enjoyed as a casual experience when you can take your time and stroll from one booth to the next.
Most have the theme of a country such as France, Italy, Canada, etc, and some the theme of the specific type of food offered: Appleseed Orchard, Coastal Eats, etc. In each kiosk there is food unique to that theme or area, so for example if you go to the Italy booth theres a good chance youll find some kind of pasta, and so on.

Disney Food And Wine Merchandise
As with all of the Epcot festivals, Disney creates specific merchandise for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. You can find everything from clothing to trading pins to home décor to festival cookbooks. Usually, the merchandise for each year can be grouped into a handful of themes and collections.
This years include: Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Logo Collection, Belle Be Our Guest Collection, Remy Shake Things Up Collection, Apple Orchard Collection, Figment Passholder Collection, and Remy Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt.

For The Best Experience Invest In Your Accommodations
People travel near and far for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. When choosing to attend the festival, keep in mind that there are several accommodation options available, ranging from super expensive to fairly affordable, and keep in mind that if youre at Walt Disney World for the festival, the consensus is that splurging on the pricier, but well-worth-it resorts is your best bet. Why? Experts Delashaw and Kris Morton, a former Disney World cast member and travel blogger of Nomad By Trade, agree that youll have the best festival experience staying at Disneys Yacht and Beach Club Resort or the BoardWalk.
Morton told TravelAwaits, If youre really focused on dedicating your time to everything Food and Wine, consider booking a stay at one of the BoardWalk-area resorts. Theyre pricey, but staying there will keep you close to the food and allow you to enjoy the wine and other drinks without worrying about driving home.
Delashaw said, In regards to staying at an Epcot-area resort, there is nothing more magical than being able to walk over to Epcot within a moments notice at any time during your stay.
Both experts said that the two resorts boast a major convenience factor. Theyre less than a 10-minute walk to the festival and save you the time of having to shuttle there and back.

Time Your Trip Strategically
Few people like crowded areas and no one likes long lines. For this reason, its best to surpass all of this by arranging to visit the festival during less busy times of the week and day.
Expert Len Testa, coauthor of The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and the owner of TouringPlans.com, said, The best time of day to go is early! With crowds peaking around dinnertime, youll want to be in line for the Global Marketplaces food booths when they open at 11 a.m.
He went on to say, The worst time to go is the weekend. Youll see more locals and some party animals enjoying the festival, which will lead to an increase in crowd levels.

Every year Disney switches things around a bit, and in normal years, they also add some new things.
Then came 2020 and everything looked different and the switching around of things meant that, because of health and safety measures, a lot of the traditional favorites were put on hiatus.

Epcot Food And Wine Festival 2021 Menu
The food booths, or Global Marketplaces as they are called, are undeniably the biggest draw of the whole Food and Wine Festival. You could spend a couple of days at Epcot and probably still not try all of the foods available at the Global Marketplaces.
The Global Marketplaces are not just found in the pavilions of World Showcase. You will find them scattered through Future World as well.
Disney has released the names of the booths to expect at Epcot Food and Wine 2021, as well a description of the booth.
New for 2021, Disney also notes that not all of the Global Marketplaces are open throughout the entire festival. Considering Food and Wine Festival is 129 longs this year, thats not surprising.
So pay attention to the dates listed on some of the Global Marketplaces to know whether certain booths will be open during your trip.
