Aubert Wines History, Overview

Founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, the Aubert Winery is located on the Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before building his own winery, Mark Aubert made his wines at Colgin Cellars and the Custom Crush facility.

While much of his fruit is sourced, Aubert owns 3.2 acres of vineyard land in Sonoma. This land is the source of their UV wines. UV takes its name from a vineyard manager, Ulizes Valdez. Ulizes Valdez and Mark Aubert have been a team since day one as Ulizes Valdez manages all the vineyards for Mark Aubert. The 2020 Park Avenue displays a singular focus highlighting its distinct sense of place. It opens with enticing scents of powdered lemon, green mango, lime sorbet, and shortbread, interspersed with fascinating saline notes. Lauren Estate Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Aubert UV

Our first production of Lauren Estate wine was in 2003, and revealed our definition of perfection. Comprised of four distinct Chardonnay clones, this wine is a hypothetical blend of Sonoma Coast with White Burgundy. Fabulously concentrated and layered with density and extract, the aromatics and mouth feel are profound.

The 2020 Lauren combines the prestige of the vineyard site with the purity of clonal expression. Remarkable aromatics of apple galette, shaved almond, and white peach interlace with compelling notes of sea air, crushed stone, and matcha green tea. The palate leads with a nectar of orchard fruits complemented by a beautifully balanced acidity. The vieilles vignes of this vineyard give the wine stunning persistence and concentration, which will enhance with extended cellaring. The wine is slightly hazy showing our commitment to minimal intervention winemaking.
