From the bottle:
Taste the vibrant clarity and focused richness of this Chardonnay grown in the Franciscan Melange soils of the Sonoma Coast.

I should note, this vintage won four gold medals including one from the 2021 Sunset International Wine Competition with a 90 point rating.
How Is Sonoma Countys Wine
Sonoma Countys wines are ripe, silky and structured.
Sonoma Valley wines are considered some of the best in North America and have become synonymous with ripe, silky and fruity wines that have the power and structure to back it up.
Cabernet Sauvignon is especially prevalent in the region, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Merlot found, allowing for powerful expressions of Bordeaux-style blends. Additionally, Californias iconic Zinfandel variety is grown throughout Sonoma, with some of the colder areas experimenting with Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

These wineries, ranging from boutique family-run businesses to extensive commercial vineyards, all play a vital role in establishing Sonoma as a diverse winemaking region. These 400 wineries have established over 60 000 acres of vineyards, an area that continues to grow annually.
With so many vines and hundreds of wineries, Sonoma County is bound to have a wine that fits every type of palate.
These wineries are also included in the innovative wine passport system that Sonoma has created, which grants access and free tastings to some of the countys best wineries. It is an exclusive and popular way of touring Sonomas wineries.
While the Sonoma region itself produces some eccentric wines, the county also has several exclusive Sonoma Wine Bars that explore other regions outside of Sonoma. Many of these bars offer unparalleled options of different vintages, food options and wines from across the globe.
Additionally, The William Sonoma Wine Club offers members the opportunity to buy mixed-cases of wine from other regions outside Sonoma. This membership is used as an alternative for locals looking to purchase wines outside of Sonoma county.
Respect Our Wild Friends
- Please stay at least three feet back from the animal enclosures.
- These animals are not to be touched. Be especially aware of children who may not understand that these animals are not like your pets at home. They may bite, kick or otherwise defend themselves if startled.
- If you see anyone harassing the animals, throwing objects or poking sticks into the animal enclosures, or teasing them in any way, please alert a staff member immediately.
- Never feed the animals. They eat special diets in the wild, and the Safari West animal staff sees that they enjoy the same appropriate foods here. Snacks that you love can be harmful to them.
- No running! The animals interpret running as a sign of danger and are likely to panic and hurt themselves.

The greatest attribute of Sideways is that it promoted Pinot Noir, which became very popular because of the movie.
The region of Santa Barbara offers a great variety of unique tasting options with over 120 different wineries to choose from. This region is off-the-beaten-track, but should not be underestimated. Sideways drew much-needed attention to this region and all that it has to offer.

Why Chardonnay
Known as the ubiquitous grape because its relatively easy to grow , California Chardonnay, though vastly produced, has not historically been a particularly diverse wine, with most flavor profiles fulfilling the bold, buttery, oaky stereotype. From our earliest days, however, Sonoma-Cutrers Old World winemaking techniques and our Grand Cru philosophy to winemaking- combined with the microclimates of our vineyards have enabled us to present a different view of Chardonnay to the world, revealing the worlds most commonplace grape to be capable of surprising range and nuance.
