Can I Adjust The Temperature On My Wine Cooler

The majority of all modern wine refrigerators come equipped with temperature control – whether it be a control panel on the side or interior of the unit, a remote control, or even an app on your phone.

Most wine coolers have a digital control panel or a digital thermostat, allowing you to adjust the temperature with ease. These allow you to adjust the temperature in one-degree increments.

However, if youre unable to adjust the temperature on the control panel, reach out to the manufacturer. At Elite Wine Refrigeration, our wine fridges come with a warranty that varies in length depending on the brand.

Red Wine Serving Temperature

This notion that red wine is supposed to be served at room temperature has been floating around for ages. And because this idea has been around for so long, the ideal room temperature has changed over the years.

While today our room temperature usually hovers around 72-73 degrees Fahrenheit, in the past it would refer to temperatures in the mid-50s to low 60s. And because of this change over the years, youre probably serving your red wine a bit too warm.

Most red wine is meant to be served between 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit to help maintain the intended flavor of the wine. If youre wine is too warm the alcohol taste can push through making it sting a bit when drank, while too cold and the tannins in the wine can shine through too much.

The temperature in which red wine should be served can be subjective depending on your personal tastes, but in general 55-65 degrees is the sweet spot for red wine. This will allow the wine flavors to balance nicely without throwing off the taste.

We suggest serving something like our Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon at a temperature between 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit to get the full flavor of the wine.

Do You Need A Wine Cooler For Red Wine

Storing red wines in a wine cooler is a good idea. Although you drink red wine closer to room temperature, it should be stored at a lower temperature. Each red wine will have an optimal storing temperature, but if you do not have a dual temperature wine cooler, 55 degrees is the average storing temperature for both white and red wine.

If you do not have a wine cooler for your red wine, it should be stored in a cool place. The kitchen is not a good place to store red wine because temperatures rise in your kitchen when you cook.

To enjoy red wine that has been stored in a wine cooler, you should open it and let it sit for a while before you drink it. Depending on the temperature of the room, once opened, the wine should be at optimal drinking temperature in about 10-20 minutes.

How long does white wine last after opening?

How long does white wine last when opened? Large or full-body white wines will quickly spoil once they are opened. It leads to the fact that they are currently heavily oxidized in the process of losing their inherent flavor.

Indeed, once they are opened, white wine will be destroyed entirely more quickly. For example, this process is much faster than lighter wines, with an average lifespan of three days. Furthermore, over the next several days, the top quality and flavor of the wine rapidly deteriorate.

A lighter white wine will last longer. If you protect it in good condition and store it at the right temperature, it can stay for a week.
