If time allows, head to Old Town Temecula to explore its Western-era buildings, antique shops, and family-owned restaurants.
Old Town Temecula Restaurants
The next day we got ready and sought out a good brunch spot. Our options seemed limited via Yelp so we decided we would drive through Old Town until we found a place we liked. 1909 was the happening spot, we put our name down for a 40-minute wait while we looked around for another restaurant before we ate each other out of starvation. Luckily it didn’t come to that and right next door was Public House, which had a shaded patio and no wait! I had the eggs benedict with bacon and a coffee since we weren’t ready for mimosas yet.

Temecula Restaurants Where To Eat In Temecula
There is no shortage of delicious food in Temecula. There are romantic restaurants in Temecula and there are casual restaurants. Some wineries offer food and others do not.
Robert Renzoni Winery This is great for lunch with beautiful views. The pizza is fantastic. The wine at Robert Renzoni is also delicious so stay and do a wine tasting.
Avensole Winery Avensole is one of the best places to eat in wine country. The charcuterie board is one of the largest you will find. You will definitely want to make reservations. Try the lavender martini!
Pala Casino Lobster Buffet This one is a bit of a drive and its in a casino. But its the best seafood buffet weve ever had. Go early and get in line before it opens or youll be waiting a long time. Its also ONLY on Tuesday and Thursday so plan accordingly.
Rosas Cafe and Tortilla Factory Pass up the full-service Mexican restaurant for this counter-service place. It is cheap and it was delicious. We are stuffed for under $20.
Maurice Carrie Winery This little winery is absolutely gorgeous. They also happen to be famous for sourdough bread filled with Brie cheese. Its cheesy and garlicky with a butter flavor. You will not be disappointed! Have them heat one up, grab a couple of glasses of wine and sit outside on the porch.

My sweet sister kindly picked up some Starbucks and swooped me up along the way, leaving LA with enough time to drive to Temecula to make it to our wine tour!

Temecula Hotels Where To Stay In Temecula
It is most affordable, and far less crowded, if you can visit Temecula during the week. That said, the crowds arent too terrible on weekends. Summers are hot so those months are also less crowded.
You can choose a hotel that is in town or in wine country. We prefer to stay in the wine country area as it is easier to get around and you do a lot less driving. But the hotels in town are definitely cheaper.
The Inn at Churon Winery This is the hotel we almost always stay at in Temecula. We love it that much! On a whim, I bought a Groupon for a little place called the Inn at Churon Winery. I didnt really pay much attention to the hotel when I bought the voucher. But it was an absolute delight! It is showing its age but it is still our favorite place.
Your stay will include a made-to-order breakfast every morning that you can either eat in your room or in the dining area. There is a beautiful outdoor patio you can eat on if the weather is nice.
Rooms include either king-size or 2 queen beds. The beds are very comfortable.
Every room we have stayed in, including a suite, has an electric fireplace. These are really nice in the winter months.
They also each include large, jetted, 2 person tubs in a spacious bathroom.
Almost every room at the Churon includes a private patio or balcony and an incredible view.

How To Find The Best Wineries In Temecula
To me, wine tasting isnt just about the wine. Its about a sensual experience that embraces what we see, hear, smell, taste, and feel. And also of course, who were with during that experience.
Miles and miles of vineyards as far as the eye can see are growing in Temeculas 40-plus boutique to full-service wineries. Here are some of our favorites with the following considerations: good wine, views, unique qualities, and the overall winetasting experience.
Please keep in mind that due to current health restrictions, winery hours may change and there might be additional modifications. Please check websites for updated information. And even if you cant visit right now, the good news is that wines can be ordered and either shipped or picked up curbside. Temecula Winery Hotels Where You Can Taste The Best Of The Valley
The last of the sunlight dances across the vines, tickling the leaves and casting its warm orange glow against the steep slopes beyond. It draws a gilded outline on the mountains in the far distance, and it bounces off the amber-hued Riesling in my glass. Perhaps my wine has even captured some of the sunshine each sip sings with warm, summery flavors, from Meyer lemons to apricots soaked in honey.
Theres certainly something special about the Temecula Valley, a serene wine region tucked between Los Angeles and San Diego. Its charming Old Town, where rustic architecture blends with a dynamic, hyper-local dining and shopping scene, is surrounded by mountains and hillsides striped with vines. Visitors can taste the fruit of this valley at the 30-plus wineries, often while chatting to the owner or winemaker.
The valleys best hotels make the most of their location, from onsite wine tasting to floating in a hot-air balloon at sunrise or simply watching them drift right by your rooms balcony or terrace.
