Where You Can Buy Hello Kitty Wine

Your rosé just got so much cuter

These days, you can find nearly anything with Hello Kitty’s face on it, like a Hello Kitty waffle iron or a Hello Kitty Spam musubi maker. So why has it taken so long for Sanrio to get a Hello Kitty wine to the United States? I’m not sure, but it doesn’t matter, because Hello Kitty wine is here, and it’s ready for you to drink. If you’re a fan of the beloved Sanrio character, you’re probably wondering where to buy Hello Kitty wine yourself. Well, according to the Los Angeles Times, this Hello Kitty wine is exclusively served at one restaurant in southern California. Antonello Ristorante, located in Santa Ana, California, will be serving up Hello Kitty wine by the glass or the bottle, starting on October 12. Customers will also be able to buy bottles of Hello Kitty wine to-go, if they just want to get straight to the drinking.

This is far from the debut of Hello Kitty wine, though, so if you can’t wait another week to drink a glass of the cutest rosé in the world, you could just hop over to Europe or Asia. As the Los Angeles Times reports, Hello Kitty wine has been available in Asia and Europe since 2007. You can see the international offerings on the Torti Wine website, which include Sweet Pink, a blend of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir grapes for a sparkling pink wine; Cupido, a dry white wine made of solely Pinot Noir grapes; and, of course, Rosé.

Reviewing Limited Edition HELLO KITTY WINE

“Kawaii” isnt typically an adjective used to describe wine, but Sanrio wants to change that. The company has partnered with Italy’s Torti Winery to launch a new line of Hello Kitty-branded wine in the U.S., theLos Angeles Times reports.

The line includes a sparkling Hello Kitty rosé, made from a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay grapes, and a sparkling Hello Kitty white wine from pinot noir grapes. The labels feature the popular, feline-inspired cartoon character, and one bottle is even painted with a gold heart.

Hello Kitty wine might be new to America, but customers in Asia and Europe have been enjoying it for several years now. According to the Los Angeles Times, people from Sanrio tried Tortis wines at a restaurant and liked them so much that they contacted the winery to create a unique product just for them. Torti has set aside grapes for Sanrios European and Asian markets since 2007, and the winery’s website advertises multiple vintages that currently aren’t available in the U.S.

Hello Kitty Wine is now sold at Antonello Ristorante in Santa Ana, California. There, restaurant owners have created an accompanying Hello Kitty-inspired food menu, and customers can purchase the wine by both the glass and the bottle.

Hello Kitty may not be a cat , but she is a wino.

Sanrio, the company that created the character, teamed up with Torti Winery in Italy to make a line of Hello Kitty wine. Good thing Hello Kitty is old enough to drink.

Patrizia Torti, whose family owns the winery, said some people from Sanrio tasted her familys wine at a restaurant, then contacted her to produce a Hello Kitty wine. Her family has been setting aside some of its harvest to make wine for Sanrio under a Hello Kitty label for the companys European and Asian markets since 2007. As of now, the wine is available at a single SoCal restaurant Antonello Ristorante in Santa Ana.

The Torti family is using a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to make a sparkling Hello Kitty rosé, and Pinot Noir grapes only to make a sparkling Hello Kitty white wine. And according to Torti, every grape is picked by hand.

My father and my sister take care of the production, from the soil to picking the grapes, said Torti. We produce a special bottle with a heart, only for Hello Kitty. She says that the wines are not a limited-edition item and she and her family plan on making a lot more, as well as expanding distribution.

You can find the Hello Kitty wines by the bottle and by the glass at Antonello Ristorante. Customers can also buy bottles to go.

Antonello Ristorante owner Antonio Cagnolo created an entire menu to accompany the Hello Kitty wine, available Oct. 12

Hello Kitty Wine For The Cutest Bender Ever

Meowza! An Italian winery teams with Sanrio to offer adult beverages with the friendly feline’s face on the label.

Toast to everyone’s favorite mouthless cat with Hello Kitty wine.

Hello Kitty has no mouth. NO MOUTH. That means she can’t drink the new line of Hello Kitty wine. So we’re just going to have to do it for her.

Italy’s Torti winery has teamed up with Sanrio, the Japanese company behind Hello Kitty, to create wine with the feline cutie’s face on the label, the Los Angeles Times reports. It’s a little weird, since Hello Kitty generally appeals to kids who aren’t even within a decade of the legal drinking age. But never underestimate the cute factor, especially when it comes to products from Japan.
