How Much Is Aldis Alcohol
The price tag on Aldis alcohol varies widely from product to product, though you can expect lower prices than in other grocery stores.
Wine starts in the $3.50 range and goes up to $20. However, Aldi sells 90 percent of their vino for less than $10 a bottle.
Six-packs of beer range between five and seven dollars, while the seltzer six-packs clock in below six dollars .
Lidl Stores Are A Lot Bigger Than Aldi Stores
Yes, theyre both German discount grocery stores with more than 11,000 locations worldwide. But even without signage, youll quickly be able to tell the difference between an Aldi and a Lidl. For starters, Lidl stores are bigger. They range in size from 14,000-21,000 square feet, whereas Aldi stores average 10,000 square feet. They also stock about 3,500 products at any given time, which is more than twice as many products as Aldis 1,400.

Where Does Aldi Sell Alcohol In The United States
Aldi states officially that they have beer and wine in every store in the US that they can, which means that some state and local laws may prevent them to sell alcohol in some places.
There is also a whole process behind being able to sell liquor in a grocery store which includes a limited amount of liquor licenses, and if they are all taken then the store requesting permission wont be able to get it.
The best thing you can do is to use the Aldi store locator so you can verify if the store has alcohol or not

Prosecco By Grand Mori
This budget-priced Prosecco is an excellent offering by Aldi, produced in Valdobbiadene, Italy, and sold by Grand Mori. This killer wine is imported by Prestige Beverage Group into the United States.
Branded as a non-vintage wine, this offering by Grand Mori starts with a nose of honeysuckle, pear, fresh-baked bread, and melon. While the aroma is a little subdued, its still quite nice. Its taste consists of plenty of fruit, along with a crisp feel to complement the perfect amount of bubbles.
The sweetness in this Prosecco is perfectly balanced with flavors of orange zest, green apple, and pear. On the finish, a hint of nuttiness combined with the sweet fruit flavors make for a long and refreshing drink youre sure to love.
But You Can’t Get It Everywhere
It’s no secret that Aldi crushes the competition when it comes to finding a lower-priced alternative to almost everything on your grocery list. And although you can shop at just about any one of Aldi’s more than 1600 stores across the United States for an affordable selection of cheese, bread, and other pantry staples, shoppers in some parts of the country are not able to take advantage of Aldi’s amazing inexpensive wine selection. Unfortunately, in certain states including New York,Mississippi, and Arkansas wine can only be purchased in a liquor store.
If you’re unsure about the laws for wine and liquor sales in your area, you can use their handy store locator to see if your Aldi store has Winking Owl or other wines in stock. If they don’t, you can always search for the closest store across the state line that sells wine and gas up your car for a Winking Owl road trip.

Sauvignon Blanc By Dancing Flame

Immediately, youll notice an aroma full of citrus and grass, which is something often associated with wines that originate in New Zealand. The wine offers a taste of fresh and deep flavors, consisting primarily of tropical fruit and lime. It is lively, crisp, and clean.
While this Sauvignon Blanc isnt going to knock your socks off, its still a solid and well-done wine. Youll enjoy the long finish which has a lingering grassy and tart aftertaste.
Does Aldi In The Us Sell Liquor
There are alcoholic beverages available at Aldi stores, but what you can get depends on where you live. Aldi is not to blame, though. Aldi has confirmed that they stock beer and wine in all of their US stores, which are authorized to sell them. Beer and wine are sold only in states that have liquor laws.

It Goes Great With Aldi Cheese
As Game of Thrones‘ Tyrion Lannister famously said, “Everything’s better with some wine in the belly.” Erica Banas, a rock music reporter for the ’80s radio station WROR in Boston, put Tyrion’s words to the test when she tried out a musically-themed cheese line from Aldi brand Happy Farms. The name of each cheese type in the line was inspired by a well-known ’80s rock song including “Total Eclipse of the Havarti” and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fontina.”
In her review, Banas notes although she enjoyed most of the flavors, some of the cheeses didn’t taste so great on their own. But she was able to make her cheese tasting experience way more enjoyable by pairing the cheeses with Winking Owl wines. She wrote that washing the”Pour Some Gouda On Me” down with a glass of Winking Owl cabernet sauvignon was the perfect way to “take things to the next level.”
Are The Beer And Wine At Aldi Of Quality
Although everyones palates are different, the beer and wine are typically well-liked. Even a beer expert was called in by Thrillist to rate Aldis store-brand beers from best to worst.
The Folded Mountains pale ale came in last, while the Wernesgrüner, a pilsner brewed in Germany since the 1400s, took the top spot.
When it comes to IPAs, Third Street Brewhouse Hop Lift IPA is an excellent choice plus its brewed right here in Minnesota!
Many of Aldis wines have won awards, including their Quarter Cut Bourbel Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, Piretto Pino Grigio, Crystal Creek Cellars Chardonnay, Moisello Sparkling Moscato, and Outlander Heritage, to mention a few.

Is There A Limit To How Much Alcohol You Can Buy From Aldi
After checking with a store associate at a few stores, there really isnt any limit to how much alcohol you can purchase from Aldi.
This can be especially useful knowledge for out-of-state shoppers who have made a trip specifically for the alcohol and who are looking to stock up. The only real limit is how much your car can fit.

It Gets Some Pretty Bad Reviews
It’s true that lots of people are talking about Aldi’s Winking Owl wine. There’s plenty of chatter on Instagram with the hashtag #winkingowlwine, which is pretty impressive for a company that doesn’t do a lot in terms of marketing and advertising. But unfortunately, not all of that talk is very nice. In fact, a quick Google search on the brand will reveal that there are some people who have some pretty awful things to say about Winking Owl wines.
Comments on the wine rating site Vivino complained that Winking Owl’s red blend was “weak in flavor” and tastes “like water.” As of April 2019, the wine had a dismal ranking of just 2.8 stars out of 5. In a thread about Winking Owl wines, Reddit reviewers described them as “terrible” and “just nasty.” And if that wasn’t enough to completely turn you off, one especially tough post on CellarTracker said the wine tasted like a “wet sponge that was used to clean the sink after pouring it down the drain.”
Can You Use A Self
Typically, one is not able to purchase alcohol at self-checkouts unless there is an associate available to verify the purchasers age.
Aldi has used an entirely employee-driven checkout process but has begun trialing self-checkout consoles in their stores in 2021. The first Aldi self-checkout was debuted in May of 2021, at their store in Akron, Ohio.

How To Create A Build
Mimosas are traditionally made with orange juice and Champagne, but you can pair any bubbly with a variety of juices and fruit garnishes. Creating a mimosa bar lets everyone customize their own unique cocktail. And buying everything at ALDI lets you do it affordably.
Heres what you need from ALDI to make this mimosa bar:
- Belletti prosecco
- Natures Nectar Orange Juice
- Other varieties of juice such as Simply Nature Organic 100% Super Fruits Juice and Natures Nectar Cranberry Pomegranate Cocktail
- Fresh berries and sliced fruit like lemons, limes, and oranges, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries
- Champagne flutes or other slim glasses
Mimosas are typically a 1:1 ratio between bubbly and juice. One bottle of Belletti Prosecco will be enough for about six mimosas.

Is The Beer And Wine Good At Aldi
There is no accounting for personal taste, but on the whole, both the beer and wine are generally well-received.
One writer for Thrillist even brought in a beer expert and had the person rank Aldis store label beer from best to worst.
Coming in last was the Folded Mountains pale ale first was the Wernesgrüner, a pilsner from a German brewery that started operations in the 1400s.
If imports arent your thing, the Third Street Brewhouse Hop Lift IPA has also received high marks and its from a microbrewery in Minnesota.
The wine from Aldi is actually award-winning in many cases, with accolades going to their Quarter Cut Bourbel Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, Piretto Pino Grigio, Crystal Creek Cellars Chardonnay, Moisello Sparking Moscato, and Outlander Heritage, just to name a few.

What Type Of Alcohol Does Aldi Sell
If you are hoping to find lots of variety in terms of alcohol, you will be setting yourself up for disappointment. That is not to say there is not a good amount for you to choose from, but just keep your expectations in check.
Aldi stores mostly sell beer and wine under imported labels and some original labels that you can find as Aldi Finds or limited offers.
The selection will also slightly vary depending on the location of the store, for example, you will find a lot more variety in their wine collection in California, and some locations offer craft beer, so if you want to know more about what they offer in a specific store or city, you should use the store locator from their website or the app.
There is a specific type of wine that is exclusive to Aldi customers, Winking Owl, this is once again an Aldi original brand.
Youll be able to get Cabernet, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, White Zinfandel, red blend, Moscato, and more under the Winking Owl label.
