The producer
Ruinart, the very first Champagne House founded in 1729, is an essential reference. The historic Ruinart Champagne House owes its creation to the visionary and pioneering monk, Dom Thierry Ruinart. Located in the heart of Reims, the Ruinart House watches over a treasure. Unique, historical landmarks and architectural prowesses, the Ruinart chalk quarries have been classified as a historic site since 1931 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2015. Located at nearly 40 metres below ground, in the dark and cool cathedral-like cellars, the precious bottles wait to be brought to light. Elegance, style and timelessness define the DNA of the Ruinart Champagne House, which is one of the most valued brands in France, embodying the excellence of the French art de vivre in all four corners of the world.
The wine
In the 18th century, the Ruinart Champagne House innovated by producing the first Rose champagne, Ruinart Rose, renowned for its great delicacy.
The blend
Pinot Noir of which 18 to 19% is vinified into red wine. This blend harmoniously combines the freshness of Chardonnay with the roundness and character of Pinot Noir and is completed by 20 to 25% reserve wines from the last two years.

Typically, either white wine is blended with red wine to make a rosé base wine, or only red grapes are used but spend a short period of time on their skins to make rosé colored juice before pressing and fermentation. In either case the base wine goes through a second fermentation through any of the various sparkling wine making methods.

A Great Champagne House
Indeed, the Ruinart champagne brand does not have a policy of producing large quantities of bottles of champagne for sale. Aiming at a clientele of great restaurants and specialized stores, it positions itself as the “top of the range” of the group, by the constant search for finesse and also by proposing the champagne in antique type bottles.
This champagne house is ranked 15th among the 50 best champagnes in the Revue du Vin de France. The Ruinart Trophy, which rewards the best sommeliers each year, has become the reference in this field.
How Do You Serve Ros Sparkling Wine
Treat rosé sparkling wine as you would treat any Champagne, Prosecco, Cava, and other sparkling wine of comparable quality. For storing in any long-term sense, these should be kept at cellar temperature, about 55F. For serving, cool to about 40F to 50F. As for drinking, the best glasses have a stem and a flute or tulip shape to allow the bead and beautiful rosé hue to show.
