Spaceship Earth Beauty And The Beast Sequence
With the installation of the Points of Light on Spaceship Earth, it is common for there to be special sequences incorporated into the festivals.
For the Food and Wine Festival, youll be able to see a special Beauty and the Beast themed sequence. It happens nightly and alternates with the Beacons of Magic.
Heres how Disney describes it:
Inspired by the vibrant colors and strong movement in the 1991 Walt Disney Animation Studios classic, Beauty and the Beast, and infused both into the programming of the show. Be on the lookout for some fun subtle easter eggs such as rising champagne bubbles and the multicolor spotlights from the finale of the song, plus a special tri-color celebration to France, the setting and inspiration of this tale as old as time.

Tips For Epcot International Food And Wine Festival
1. Make a Plan Before Heading Out
If you take your food as seriously as I do, you’ll want to identify a few must-try items in advance. It’s a great way to whet your appetite, and it can help you budget. I make a list of the things I want to try and at which global marketplaces I can find them. It’s not meant to be exhaustive because I want to leave a little room for discovery, but it helps me plan which foods I don’t want to miss.
You can also do this when you get to the festival. Be sure to grab a festival passport, a pocket guide with all of the menus, which is also available digitally through the My Disney Experience app.
2. Have a Budget and Stick to It
As we mentioned earlier, setting a spending limit at the outset is the best way not to go overboard. You can use cash, credit, debit, gift cards or MagicBands . We prefer the miniature-sized festival gift cards because they are convenient with their wrist strap, and also make nice souvenirs.
3. Share Food Among Your Frog Squad
Another way to sample a little bit of everything is to go to the festival with a group. Even if it’s just you and your bestie, a good time is guaranteed. Whether it’s friends or family, everyone is bound to have different tastes. Get whatever you want and then share with the rest of the group!
Portions can be smaller than normal for some food items, so it’s nice to have everyone try a little bit when possible and then head to the next one for lots of variety!

Epcot International Food And Wine Festival Shopping And Merchandise
During the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, you can find merchandise that celebrates the annual event. While youre in the park, youll be able to find many spots offering commemorative gifts, specialty kitchen items, and more. You can also visit the shops located around World Showcase Promenade for additional Festival merchandise offerings and artisans. Spam Musubi Nigiri From Hawaii
The Hawaii booth didnt open until August 15th, and when it did it showed us all what a star it is! An easy pick for Best of the Fest here was the NEW SPAM Musubi Nigiri. This dish is made with sushi rice, teriyaki-glazed SPAM, spicy mayonnaise, eel sauce, and nori for $6.

This was, in a word, INCREDIBLE. The seaweed wasnt chewy at all, and the SPAM had a soft texture similar to fish in sushi but packed a nice meaty flavor. Its easy to snack on and could be a great introduction to the world of sushi or those with pickier palettes.

Grab a scavenger hunt map from Connections, Pin Traders, Gateway Gifts, Disney Traders, World Traveler, and other marketplace booths scattered around the park. The map comes with stickers that depict ingredients that match the ones that each Remy statue is placed next to and can be purchased for $9.99.
Not only is it a fun activity the whole family will enjoy, but there are also prizes in it for you! This year, the prize is a choice of one of four lenticular cups depicting Tiana, Remy, Mickey, or Figment!

What Is The Epcot Food & Wine Festival
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is a park-wide culinary celebration that runs every year at EPCOT. Disney World hosted the first EPCOT Food & Wine Festival in 1996, as a 30 day event starting in September. Due to its immense popularity, the festival now runs from the summer through the fall for 128 days.
The main draw of the festival are the Global Marketplaces. These are food booths that line the walkways of World Showcase, as well as World Celebration and Discovery. Each Global Marketplace offers a limited menu of small plates and beverages, all centered around a theme. Most booths will give a sampling of a countrys cuisine, such as Mexico, Italy, Hawaii, or Brazil. However, some booths dont follow regional borders, such as the Brew-wing booth that serves up beer and wings in the Odyssey Pavilion.
If you want a sampling of internationally inspired small plates and sips, then you must visit EPCOT during the Food & Wine Festival. The festival also features the Eat to the Beat Concert series, scavenger hunts, and special merchandise and souvenirs.

While the Gnocchi with the mushrooms made our main best of the fest list, we do think that theGnocchi di Patate with Vodka Sauce could be a good pick for kiddos! This dish is made of Potato dumplings with vodka sauce, Romano cheese, and crispy bacon and is $9.
The dumplings were cooked perfectly, and the fact that the Vodka sauce wasnt as tangy as we hoped might actually work in favor of kiddos enjoying it! It still had all the richness from the cheese and the smokiness from the bacon crumbles, plus just the right amount of saltiness and garlic.

Theres no better way to enjoy the festival than attending one of the amazing educational seminarsor special events, which are mostly budget friendly.

In the past, the Apple Strudel has been a bit smaller in terms of portion size but has still been a favorite of ours. This year it was once again a great choice and had a bigger portion size and it really stood out to us as a great pick for kids!

Epcot International Food And Wine Festival Merchandise
Leap doesn’t believe me, but I swear the festival merch gets cuter and cuter each year, and I just cannot resist. There’s always the classic Event Logo collection we love the vibrant, contrasting colors of the 2022 collection. .

Germanys tiny village getting in on the festivities
If youve ever visited the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT, youve probably noticed the tiny village in the pavilion that has its own miniature train running through it. This little village gets special banners added to its street lamps for every festival, and now the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival banners have been added to it!
Theyre celebrating, too!
Its a small touch, but also a great example of some of the extra magic you can enjoy throughout the event!

Epcot International Food And Wine Festival Extras
My Disney Experience, Walt Disney Worlds app, has been enhanced with menu details about all of the food booths at the Festival, details about merchandise, and more to help you navigate the Festival.
In the past, several food booths have been located in World Showplace, offering air conditioning and protection from the elements.
In 2022, World Showplace was NOT utilized. But, Appleseed Orchard is once again located within the Canada pavilion inside the theater, and Canada Far & Wide will be closed while this takes place.
The 2022 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will take place from November 3rd-6th, 2022.
Registration for the 2022 Wine & Dine Half-Marathon weekend already opened up and the races are generally sold out.
In 2022, the Post-Race Party will also be offered and registration is still available. The event will begin at 10PM ET on November 6th.
Also note there are virtual races this year as well, so if you cant be at Walt Disney World, youre still able to get in a magical run.
