Pine Ridge Vineyards Announces Release Of Inaugural Sparkling Wine
Sparkling Version of Acclaimed Chenin Blanc + Viognier Blend Adds a Versatile New Offering to the Stags Leap District Winerys Portfolio
NAPA VALLEY, Calif. Pine Ridge Vineyards, a producer of world-famous Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valleys renowned Stags Leap District, today announced the release of its inaugural sparkling wine, an extension of the winerys genre-defining still Chenin Blanc + Viognier. The release marks Pine Ridge Vineyards first new label in 25 years and begins an exciting new chapter for the popular blend. The inaugural vintage will be available for $18 online and in retail beginning October 1, 2020.
The Chenin Blanc + Viognier blend started as an experimental pairing in our tasting room and soon became a visitor favorite. Our goal is to continue that creativity with a unique, versatile sparkling wine everyone will love, said Michael Beaulac, winemaker and general manager of Pine Ridge Vineyards.
This Chenin Blanc + Viognier sparkler is food-friendly, pairing exceptionally well with everything from light salads and seafood to hors doeuvres such as prosciutto with melon. Most notably, the wine pairs well with Asian cuisines and other foods that have a hint of spiciness. The subtle sweet fruit notes provide balance alongside a touch of heat.
