Finding Solutions And Gaining An Advantage

In search of a system provider with wine experience, Milutinovic and Hazzard were referred by the Adams Wine Group to Ultra. The first order of business was for Ultra to audit the process. We wireframed what the Concierge Sales user experience would be, says Dave Crouch, Ultras COO. That involved working closely with Total Wine & Mores Concierge Sales team to see exactly how users would interact with the site. Crouch and the rest of Ultras staff also reviewed in detail how Concierge Sales transactions would be processed.

As it moved through the engineering process, the Ultra team identified a mission-critical requirement for Total Wine & Mores Concierge Sales website: It had to be able to handle a 50% prepayment on wine futures.

This was going to be a major differentiator for Concierge Salesnobody else in wine futures is able to offer a 50% prepayment capability, explains Sumit Verma, CTO of Ultra. Other sites that are designed for futures require full payment up front. Thats a problem for customers, of course, because theyre not getting anything for that up-front paymentthey have to wait a long time. The wait can be even more frustrating when you consider that the average order with Concierge Sales ranges anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000.

My favorite part of the system that Ultra built for us is the flexibility and customizability of the software.

As far as Milutinovic and Hazzard are concerned, Ultra is much more than a consulting firm. Throughout the entire project, there was so much intuitive problem-solving on Ultras part, Milutinovic explains. We felt like they often finished our thought processthey understood the issues we were facing, knew exactly what we wanted, and came up with solutions we never would have thought of. Milutinovic adds that he was especially impressed with Ultras responsiveness. Whether it was 11 oclock in the morning or 11 oclock at night, it didnt matter, he says. Everyone at Ultra is accessible. App Used To Be Great But Now Stuff Doesnt Work

After the last few updates there have been several glitches that make the app annoying to me. Perfect example is the list feature. If you click on a heart to add some thing to your list it takes you to a section where you can pick which list to put it on. When you click the list to put it in your only options are create list or x which takes you out of the list section. There should be some notice that it was added to the list. Because it doesnt always add. So your only option to verify that its actually added to the list is to go back open your list scroll through everything and make sure its been added. This adds so much time when youre trying to put a bunch of things on your list it slows you down so much. This is just the top thing that I find annoying with the newer versions. And if somethings out of stock cant you give notice of when it MAY be expected in? Ive got things that Ive been checking on for many months that are out of stock and sometimes it just disappears from the app completely. Its very annoying!Why cant you say expected within two weeks or expected in six months or more. Something so that Im not Im not checking twice a week to see if its going to be in. Come on make this a little more user-friendly
