Wine Aficionados Rejoice Buffalo Wine Festival Returns To The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center This Weekend

Buffalo has a ton of beer related festivals but wine aficionados can rejoice because Buffalo Wine Festival is returning to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center this weekend on April 23! We are extremely lucky to live in an area where we can visit a variety of wineries that are only a short drive away. Our climate is extremely suitable for growing grapesin fact, New York State is the countrys third largest grape producer. New York State is also home to more than 40 different grape varieties, which allows for a great selection of different types of wine that are unique to our region. Buffalo Wine Festival gives New York regional wineries an opportunity to showcase their products.

Buffalo Wine Festival attracts thousands of wine enthusiasts every year. It allows people to not just sample wines from wineries across the region but gives them the chance to speak with vintners about their products. This is not only a great opportunity to stock up on your favorite wine but also find some new favorites to add to your collection.

Buffalo Wine Festival will host two sessions one in the afternoon from 1pm-4pm and one in the evening from 6pm-9pm. VIP tickets are available and will allow ticket holders the opportunity to arrive one hour before the doors open to the public, providing more time to check out the wineries and vendors. Designated driver tickets are also available. You must be 21 years of age and purchase tickets to attend.

When tasked with the mission to find a mix of commercial tenants for The Grid, Kevin Dagher, Vice President of Cedarland Development Group, felt that having a barber in the building would be a good fit. And when he thought about a barber, he thought about his barber Eddie Fibich.

It turns out that, during the pandemic, Eddie lost his space at the Brisbane Building, as no one was going out to get a haircut. It was during that time that he decided to spend his time wisely, instead of sitting around idly, waiting for the pandemic to pass. So he packed his bags his scissors, sheers, and clippers and headed for the Lower East Side of NYC. It was there that he worked alongside some high end barbers, to gain some knowledge and gather ideas.

After all, explained Eddie. Buffalo isnt really known for its hair , and I wanted to bring something back to this city that would help to change that perception.

I asked Kevin about the moment that he realized that Eddie would be a good fit at The Grid. His answer? You have to take care of your barber! And thats exactly what he did. He set Eddie up in a posh shop that is geared towards the barber-artist.

During a recent visit, I got a chance to chat with Eddie in-between cuts. He told me that he grew up in South Buffalo, right around where the Tesla plant is now.

Welcoming Autumn In New Buffalo With The Harvest & Wine Festival

Pumpkins of all sizes line our sidewalks, pathways, and store windows, like plump little knights standing guard at the threshold of Autumn, as if to ensure beach days and ninety-degree temperatures stay behind us. Our vineyards are bursting with ripe fruit, the sweet scent of grapes carries throughout Southwest Michigan, and it becomes official: harvest season is here.

The New Buffalo Business Association proudly announces their 16th Annual Harvest & Wine Festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, on Whittaker Street toward the lake. From 12 p.m to 9 p.m, the busiest street in NB will come alive with family-friendly activity, where the community, local artisans, and the small businesses that make up our area, are celebrated.

Local business owner and entrepreneur, Colleen Neubauer and her late husband, started Harvest & Wine sixteen years ago, honoring this special time for our region.This event kicks off our bountiful season in Southwest Michigan, bringing the finest beverage makers to our little corner of Berrien County, says NBBA President, Audrey Bock. Our tourist town is incredibly busy during the Summer months, and our businesses work so hard all summer. This festival celebrates everyones efforts, and helps amp up business for the fall.

With cooler afternoons and the low roar of growing waves from the lake, New Buffalo invites you to welcome Autumn with excitement and camaraderie at Harvest & Wine. See you at Exit 1!
