I make no secret of my love of wine AND football! My friends, family and colleagues know that Im pretty much obsessed with both! So when I discovered that one of my favorite players of all time, who also happens to have a wine, was going to be in Orlando ON MY BIRTHDAY well guess what happened! I went!
Charles Woodson is a defensive back that played for Michigan, the Oakland Raiders and my beloved Green Bay Packers. His football stats are amazing. He won a National Championship with the Michigan Wolverines as well as the 1997 Heisman. He was the 4th overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders, where he won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He won the 2009 NFL Defensive Player of the year and Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers. These are just a few of this Hall of Fame locks gazillion awards and accomplishments during his football-playing career.

PASO ROBLES, Calif. August 11, 2021 Today, Charles Woodsons Intercept Wines released a one-time, Limited-Edition Hall of Fame Cabernet Sauvignon to commemorate Charles Woodsons enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which took place on Sunday, August 8.
Woodson launched the Intercept Wines brand in 2019. Based on his storied career, the Intercept Wines team prepared to have the 2018 vintage ready for 2021 should he become a first-ballot Hall of Famer. In February 2021, that aspiration became reality.
When we found out Charles was eligible to be selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, we were eager to make a commemorative wine to celebrate the occasion, said Intercept winemaker Amanda Gorter. We wanted to create something special that truly embodied the sentiment of greatness from grape to glass.

Charles Woodson is a former American football player. He was born in Fremont, Ohio, on October 7, 1976. Woodson played for Ross High School and was named Mr. Football of Ohio in 1994.
Woodson was selected for the USA Today All-America team and a Parade High School All-American, recording 2,028 yards and 230 points to earn prestigious honors.
After high school, Woodson attended the University of Michigan, where he played for the Michigan Wolverines football team from 1995 to 1997. He was recognized as a unanimous first-team All-American selection in 1997 and won the Heisman Trophy and he becoming the first defensive player.
