Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Building a Timber Frame Hip Roof! (3 Days, 3 Guys)

Napa Valley Cabernet is our heritage wine and speaks to our 40-year legacy as growers and producers of unparalleled Cabernet. The wine combines select vineyards in Calistoga, Oak Knoll, St. Helena, Stags Leap, Diamond Mountain, and Yountville that complement our estate vineyards in Oakville. These wines are the very embodiment of our long-established house style and are representative of all that is right with Napa Valley Cabernets. Indeed, the marriage of these diverse vineyards has enabled us to craft Napa Valley Cabernet at a nearly inconceivable level.

Which Wine Regions Are In California

From North to South, the main regions are Mendocino, Lake, Napa Valley, Sonoma, Livermore Valley, Lodi, Sierra Foothills, Santa Cruz Mountains, Monterey, Paso Robles and Santa Barbara.

California is a vast region that consists of several smaller wine-producing areas. Although Napa Valley and Sonoma are what California is most known for, the states other regions produce equally outstanding wines.

Napa Valley and Paso Robles are renowned for the bold reds of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, as well as the scenic wine route which offers unique experiences to wine lovers. On the contrary, Santa Barbara and The Russian River Valley, with conditions more suited to delicate grapes, produce outstanding expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Each of these regions offers a unique take on the wines of California allowing for a greater expression and experience of what the Golden State can truly offer.

Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Oakville

Oakville is the heart of exceptional Napa Valley Cabernet, and it happens to be our home. It is the source and inspiration for our Cabernet wines and a large part of why these wines have achieved their lofty status. Oakville is where our Martin Stelling Vineyard was planted in the 1970s, right behind our winery. We grow, nurture, and produce our flagship Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon in Oakville which is a highly allocated and much-treasured wine. It represents a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec grapes grown in vineyards that have been cultivated for over 40 years. Its velvety texture and mouthwatering plum and blackberry flavors provide a luxurious wine-drinking experience like no other. This is truly our finest expression of Cabernet and wine craftsmanship at its highest art form.

Don’t Miss: Where Is Wine Country In California

Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon

Taking its cues from proven, hand-crafted winemaking, this is one of our purest expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, with elegant layers of fruit, supple tannins, whispers of oak and a finish that is pure finesse.

Pure, fresh plum, violet and sage aromas lead to a round palate layered with ripe plum, dark berry and black currant flavors. Leather, cedar and dried herb accents, along with whispers of vanilla and oak provide depth, while lithe acidity keeps the wine lifted, balanced and bright. Supple tannins feel like suede-velvet and carry the elegant fruit and spice flavors into a finish that goes on and on. This debut vintage is pure finesse.

Where In California Is The Wine Country

The Californian wine country is in the North San Francisco Bay area, with over 800 wineries located all along this scenic route. The Bay area encompasses some of the world’s most famous wine regions, including Napa Valley and Sonoma.

The success of these famous regions within the Bay area is largely to do with the sound soil composition and ideal climatic conditions. Each region is fortunate to have a wide range of temperatures and soil types, allowing the brilliant variety of grapes to thrive here.
