Vinification Of Zinfandel Ros From Canyon Road

Canyon Road Chardonnay review

Zinfandel is one of the blessings that Italians brought to the USA. Known there as Primitivo, the grape variety has settled in well in the west of the USA as Zinfandel. For this Rosé Zinfandel, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is removed from the skins after a certain time. This gives it its strong rosé colour. After vinification in a stainless steel tank, the Canyon Road White Zinfandel comes fresh and fruity on the market.

We have a housing problem in our community I know on the 15%, I hope thats just the floor, he said.

No one from SN Management Corp. attended the Board of Supervisors meeting. Gregory Brun of the corporation who is also a Napa Valley Wine Train partner couldnt be reached for comment on Wednesday.

Buildings from the Health and Human Services Agency campus remain. The county is selling the property at 2344 Old Sonoma Road as-is, leaving the buyer to deal with the demolition.

One question mark is the fate of three buildings that are on the National Register of Historic Places. Demolishing them would leave more room for housing. Napa County Landmarks last year included them on its 10 most threatened treasures list.

SN Management Corp. has a 120-day due diligence period for inspections and to review entitlements. It can cancel the deal before then.

County Supervisor Ryan Gregory said this latest sales attempt is different than past ones in one respect the city of Napa is closer to redesignating the property, with housing the likely outcome. The site is presently designated as public, to match the previous use as a county Health and Human Services Agency campus.

That gives the buyer more assurance as months go by, Gregory said. “I’m crossing my fingers.”

Were desperately in need of housing sites, Sedgley told the Napa Valley Register.

Gallo Buys William Hill Canyon Road

In a sweeping deal that broke on Monday afternoon, E& J Gallo announced it is buying William Hill Estate and Canyon Road Winery from Beam Wine Estates.

In looking overall at what we need in the North Coast, we saw more opportunity in Napa Valley, said Gallo spokesman Michael Heintz, in explaining the William Hill acquisition. That purchase includes both the brand and a well-regarded 145-acre vineyard off the Silverado Trail. The winery specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

Canyon Road, based in Alexander Valley, produces a range of inexpensive varietal wines, bearing a California appellation and generally selling for under $10. The wines have frequently earned Best Buy status from Wine Enthusiast.

Heintz said Gallo officials approached Beam management last year to broach the deal, and the discussions that resulted showed there were benefits to both of us.

He added that Gallo plans to maintain both brand names. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Napa Countys unincorporated area roads have been battered by floods and pavement-punishing heavy trucks cleaning up wildfire debris. County officials say state gas tax money for a generation wasnt enough to keep up with road repair needs.

As a result, Napa County in a recent Metropolitan Transportation Commission report had a rating of 45 for its unincorporated roads. The scale is one to 100, with 100 being the best.
