Where To Stay In Temecula Wine Country

Don't Miss

Good Location For Old Town

Visit Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country.wmv

We booked this location because it is close to Old Town Temecula. Generally we have had great experience with the Best Western chain. The room was nice but a little dusty. There seemed to be dust in the bathroom around the vanity / especially on the shelf and on the nightstands in the room. I also have a problem when I find hair left behind from the previous guest. This was in the bathroom on the floor and in the shower. I informed the receptionist but she didn’t seem too concerned. On a good note the breakfast was good. We enjoy being able to have a bite to eat in the hotel. This is always a welcome treat.

Very Nice New And Clean

I’m so glad I chose to stay here. Clean, new and comfortable! Oh and cheap for how nice it is. I was hesitant but went for it. Happy Happy happy. Usually a place like this cost $140+ and I paid in the $80’s with discount of 5 nights !

Hot Air Ballooning Over Wine Country

One of the highlights of our Temecula trip is a hot air balloon ride with A Grape Escape. Even if youre afraid of heights, riding in the balloon is so smooth and secure that you wont even know youre sailing in the sky. Plus, its the best way to see Temeculas gorgeous, rolling hillside vineyards from the top down. All tours run at sunrise, which might have you whining a bit at first, but youll be glad you did it. From the regions citrus groves to breathtaking snow-capped mountains, what you see will take your breath away and dazzle youoh and when youre done, youre greeted with a sparkling wine toast!

Old Town Temecula Is Very Popular With Lots Of Restaurants

Old Town Temecula is very popular with lots of restaurants, shops, and antique stores. Also relatively small and can be very, very crowded especially on weekends. Parking is free on the streets. There are also about 25 or so wineries in the area. And if you are into casinos, there are 5 in the area. Pechanga is the largest and the closest to Temecula. Plenty of restaurants with very California varied menus. Worth walking around not only main street but side streets as well that have treasures. Our favorite restuarant was the Goat and Vine. Small but food is good with excellent pizzas and other things on the menu.

Lovely Hotel Within Walking Distance Of Old Town

This is a lovely new Best Western close to Old Town and not far from the wineries. Eveything was nice, neat and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. There is some covered parking. The only drawback was the noise from the floor above us because of the absence of carpeting.

Itinerary For Navigating Temecula Wine Country

Planning a trip to Temecula couldnt be simpler. Depending on how much time you have, the best way to taste wine, dine and discover the region is to explore one, two, or all three of its wine trails and plan one day for each trail.

The Rancho California Trail, The Calle Contento Trail and The De Portola Trail offer a unique set of vineyards and wineries for tastings, dining, education and entertainment. Our stay was great, even though it was only one night. Very professional staff, clean lobby and rooms, and easily accessible location for travelers. Very close to the 15 freeway. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who would be traveling to that area.

Temecula Winery Hotels Where You Can Taste The Best Of The Valley

The last of the sunlight dances across the vines, tickling the leaves and casting its warm orange glow against the steep slopes beyond. It draws a gilded outline on the mountains in the far distance, and it bounces off the amber-hued Riesling in my glass. Perhaps my wine has even captured some of the sunshine each sip sings with warm, summery flavors, from Meyer lemons to apricots soaked in honey.

Theres certainly something special about the Temecula Valley, a serene wine region tucked between Los Angeles and San Diego. Its charming Old Town, where rustic architecture blends with a dynamic, hyper-local dining and shopping scene, is surrounded by mountains and hillsides striped with vines. Visitors can taste the fruit of this valley at the 30-plus wineries, often while chatting to the owner or winemaker.

The valleys best hotels make the most of their location, from onsite wine tasting to floating in a hot-air balloon at sunrise or simply watching them drift right by your rooms balcony or terrace. Plan a stay at one of these seven Temecula winery hotels and youre bound to head home with a fresh batch of lifelong memories.

From a charming boutique hotel to more than 40 family-owned wineries, heres why Temecula Valley in Southern California is starting to give Napa a run for its money.

Growing up in San Diego, Temecula for me has always symbolized the half way point between home and Palm Springs. A quick pit stop, wed get out and stretch our legs at the Chevron off Rancho California Road while my dad would get gas and, if we were lucky, beef jerky to tide us over for the rest of the drive out.

So on a recent visit back to Southern California this past January, I was delighted when my parents expressed an interested in visiting Temecula for a little weekend getaway.

Depending on where youre coming from in San Diego Temecula is more or less an hour drive up Interstate-15. With 40-wineries producing more than 50 varietals, Temecula was named one of the 10 Best Wine Destinations by Wine Enthusiast in 2019, and has emerged as something of a destination in its own right over the years. Chock full of beautiful family-owned wineries and restaurants along with a charming Old Town and beautiful mission-style boutique hotel, heres where to sip, stay and play on your next visit to Temecula wine country.

Very Nice Hotel Minutes From Wine Country

This Best Western Plus is beautiful with a friendly staff. The beds are very good and the rooms are nice sized. The only disappointment is the breakfast. Could have available a larger selection and better nutritional items. This hotel is right around the corner from Rancho California Rd. which leads you right to the Temecula wine country.

Nice Hotel Decor And Super Clean

Stayed here on a weeknight. The hotel decor was modern and featured wine country-theme accents. The exterior of the building even looks a bit like a mission, which is lovely. Parking lot is mostly enclosed by a wall, which feels safer. Room was comfortable and well-decorated pillows were super soft and luxurious, and the entire hotel was VERY clean. i would be happy to stay here again, and to recommend this hotel to others.

Located just an hour and a half drive from San Diego, and an hour from Los Angeles, Temecula is Southern Californias most up and coming wine region, featuring almost 3 dozen small hillside vineyards and posh golf courses. While many people come here to taste the regions impressive wines, there are plenty of breweries and restaurants to keep you busy as well.

Excellent Value In Wine Country

For less than $100 for a huge room and an almost brand new hotel isn’t a bad deal, especially as it’s right on the door step of old town with easy access to wine country and the freeway. Paid way more for far less in some big cities.

Hell For The Fragrance Sensitive

A Great Stop For Wine Tasting In Temecula

The hotel looks great. For me, even two days after, I can smell the perfume from the room permeating my clothes and personal effects. The sheets and pillows are heavily scented. But really, it comes from everywhere. I think it’s a vicious combination of what they use the clean the rooms, piped into the room as air fragrance, and as previously mentioned, the linens. Couldn’t breathe most of the time I was in there. Hellish.

Great Location Indifferent Staff Homeless Woman In Lobby At Night Watching Tv & Enjoying The Coffee

Great location which is why we chose this BW. New and modern hotel, clean room, very comfortable bed, plenty storage space. Fridge did not get very cold but was OK. Nice bathroom, big vanity area, but floor not too clean. Did not see any night staff at all during our 4 night stay. Great concern was on NY’s eve there was a HOMELESS WOMAN sitting in lobby watching TV & having free coffee-no security. Obviously not the first time, probably using restrooms for ablutions. Main doors should be locked after certain hour & accessibility only by electronic key to guests. Management staff not visible nor accessible. Breakfast usual BW fare-hot breakfast was cold, translucent potatoes-worst I have had at BW. Bananas bruised not fresh. B/fast staff not attentive or friendly, had to ask for replenishment a few times-staff on cellphones in kitchen. The coffee was GOOD and plentiful-which homeless woman obviously knows!!! We felt the front desk staff also indifferent, not professional-perhaps not enough hospitality training. Housekeeping staff pleasant. Hope these concerns are taken seriously – but I guess will only generate the generic reply I have read on other reviews.
