The upfront cost may give you sticker shock, the individual prices of food will balance it out and save you money. This is largest difference of between the Food and Wine DCA and the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.
Free Entertainment And Experiences For The Whole Family
Besides the Culinary demonstrations and the return of Soarin’ Over California, here are some more free experiences the whole family can enjoy.
See the Jammin’ Chefs
The Jammin Chefs are a highlight for us at the California Adventure Food and Wine Festival . Be sure to hop over to see them. Spoiler alert: Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow join in the fun! You can find them in Hollywood Land to the left of the Hyperion marquee. You can add a cute musical interlude to your dining and drinking plans. The Jammin’ Chefs show featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale is a fun show of drumming, music and dancing . The Jammin’ Chefs usually appear each hour from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Meet Chef Goofy
You can meet Chef Goofy in the Hollywood Backlot to the left of Jammin’ Chefs.
Tadpoles and froglets ages 3 to 11 will enjoy FREE hands-on Jr. Chef cooking experiences that give them the opportunity to express their creativity through hands-on cupcake decorating. Participants can sign up beginning 45 minutes before each showtime. Space is limited to the first 32 kids who sign up. Make sure your tadpole is comfortable leaving your side for a bit. Kids can take home their kit, cupcake and chef hat.
Cook Up Some Crafts
You need a chef hat to look like a pro while you stir up some fun. Your tadpoles can color their own free chef hat and decorate them with food stickers. This year, you’ll find the crafts to the left of The Little Mermaid.
Enjoy Musical Entertainment

In 2022, this musical light show was inspired by Beauty and the Beast specifically, its themed to the song, Be Our Guest! The show begins when it gets dark outside and plays several times each night.

Tips For Visiting Disneyland In March
When it comes to visiting Disneyland in March, we have some tried and true hacks for having a magical time on your vacation.
What to Wear
One of the most frequently asked guest questions is: what should I wear to Disneyland? Always check the weather leading up to your trip. I always recommend guests wear layers when visiting during the Spring in Southern California. You just never know what the weather might do- it could feel so sunny one day you’d want to be in shorts or rain another day! The good news is that you can rent lockers at Disneyland to store any light jackets or extra layers in. If rain is projected during your trip then dress for rain with warm layers and a rain jacket. Once the sun goes down, the parks will feel cooler so packing a sweatshirt will be wise.
What to Pack
Pack clothes for warm and chilly weather so you’re prepared for any weather change. Considering there’s still a slight chance for rain in March, still bring a rain poncho! Disneyland guests planning to eat and drink all day long, into sharing or with big appetites may want to think about buying a Sip and Savor Pass. Priced at $57 for eight food and drink entitlements , this epicurean passport is a convenient way to try everything on your list.
As we mentioned, your Sip and Savor Pass lanyard comes with eight tabs which can be exchanged for small plates and non-alcoholic drinks at Festival Marketplaces and participating restaurants at California Adventure. Since tasting portions tend to cost around $7 to $8 each , if you play your cards right and stick to more expensive items, you can even save some money.
Along with the Festival Marketplaces listed above, you can also use your Disneyland Sip and Savor Pass for tasting-size, festival-exclusive items at the following California Adventure restaurants and snack carts:

Glazed Bbq Pork Belly
Our first venture to the LA Style food booth went so well that we went back for seconds. This time, we decided to switch things up and throw some meat in the mix. From our experience, Disney Parks do pork belly often, and they do it quite well. In this case, they are serving up delicious pieces of our favorite pig cut, but this time with a Japanese twist.
Priced at $8.50, the Glazed BBQ Pork Belly is served with furikake-togarashi mac salad. Let’s talk about this salad first. The classic backyard summertime favorite is given some Asian influence with the addition of furikake and togarashi. Both are flavor packed Japanese seasonings that are made from dried and ground ingredients, including toasted sesame seeds, sugar, salt, nori, and offer a nice kick courtesy of cayenne or red pepper. This elevated side dish was perfectly paired with a piece of pork belly. With just the right amount of fattiness to it, the meat was incredibly tender and juicy with just a bit of sweetness from the bbq glaze.

Disney Food And Wine Festival Menu
Food and wine really are on the top of everyones list when they come to Disney California Adventures Food & Wine Festival. This menu is from 2022, Ill have the full 2023 menu as the event approaches.
Youll find the parade route lined with various booths, where you can sample small bites and drinks as you wander your way through California Adventure.
If youre familiar with Festival of Holidays during the holiday season at Disneyland Resort, its a similar set up and vibe. Lots of booths to combine different delicious snacks or meals.
Its fun to order a few different things from various booths and because the serving size is smaller, you can sample a lot more cuisines! Youll also find tables and spots to stop and snack along the route.

This festival includes 12 festival marketplaces that feature a smorgasbord of sweet and savory foods along with creative cocktails, beer, wine and tasty non-alcoholic beverages. The best way to enjoy the eats of the festival is with a Sip and Savor pass, which will be available to purchase for this festival, as well!*

Disneyland Weather In March
Visiting Disneyland in March comes with typical unpredictable spring weather. Like many other states, spring can be hard to predict with some seasons in Southern California being rainy, dry, or hot.
Disneyland won’t close because of rain but rides with outdoor tracks often will close during rain. One good thing about experiencing rain at Disneyland is it tends to empty out the parks as many guests dash back to their hotels. This is a great time to throw on a rain poncho and experience low wait ride times. It’s best to check the weather as your trip date gets closer to get the most accurate idea of whether you will have to contend with rain or not since there is such variance this time of the year.
The average temperature for Anaheim in March is a high of 72 degrees and a low of 50 degrees. The weather can be unpredictable this time of year. There might be some days that feel so warm in the sun that it feels like spring or days with rainfall so hard that it’s a downpour.
Disneyland’s operating hours will start getting longer this time of year with the parks averaging an opening schedule of 10 hours a day on weekdays with limited entertainment and weekends with longer hours ranging up to 16 hours a day and more entertainment options. The entertainment options will increase the closer it gets to the middle/end of the month. Keep in mind that Daylight Savings Time also occurs in mid-March bringing with it a change in daylight hours.

Back Again For 2022 Ordering Food At Any Kiosk
Disney started this new option during Lunar New Year a couple of years ago and I was immediately a big fan!
To combat long lines at the food and drink booths, guests may now visit ANY of the booths, order from one or all, and then pick up food at the appropriate booths.
Once you pay, youll be given a voucher to collect your dishes. Before this change, guests had to pay for and pick up dishes at their own booths. Now, you can skip all those lines and just order at one!
