Its evolved over its 39 years, but the enthusiasm around it is constant, and theres a special fervor this year as it fully returns after a pandemic hiatus.
The Food & Wine Classic was founded in 1983 by Gary Plumley, an Aspen-based oenophile who owns the Of Grape & Grain wine shop. Originally dubbed the International Wine Festival, it drew 300 people in its first year to attend events spread out in both Aspen and Snowmass. The fest quickly grew, and within a few years Food & Wine Magazine signed on as a lead sponsor.
The Food & Wine Classic, held this year from June 17-19, marks the unofficial start to summer in Aspenand spirits are always high. Heres how to celebrate.

Iac Acquisition Neil Vogel Appointment Relaunch
A media report published in August 2012 indicated that had reached a preliminary agreement to acquire About.com for US$270 million. However, on August 26, ‘s IAC announced that it would acquire About.com instead for US$300 million in cash. A source for later confirmed that Answers.com’s offer was reportedly valued at US$270 million, but consisted of debt and equity in Answers.com.
In the corresponding press release, IAC explained that the acquisition would help bolster and accompany its existing properties, such as the Ask.com .
